Wieden+Kennedy London is pleased to welcome Creative Director Sanam Petri, building on the agency’s strong interactive capability and bringing an exciting new voice to the creative department. Sanam comes to W+K London after seven years shaping some of R/GA’s most innovative work, which includes game-changing campaigns for Nike and Beats by Dr Dre.
After a chance encounter with R/GA CEO Bob Greenberg in Dubai, Sanam spent five years at R/GA in New York. There, she primarily worked on initiatives for Nike including Nike Basketball, NIKEiD and Digital Sport before moving to R/GA London, where she developed and ran all the global creative work for Beats by Dr. Dre. One of the highlights of her career is the award-winning Show Your Color campaign, which took over the 2012 Olympics, circumventing the IOC's notoriously strict sponsorship rules by putting headphones around the athletes’ necks. Beats became one of the most talked-about brands during the Games and as a result rose to the position of #1 audio brand in the USA.
Sanam Petri says: "I've had an incredible experience working with the talented team at R/GA, very few opportunities could've induced me to leave. But I couldn't pass up the chance to work with the team at W+K London. I've been inspired by their creative output for years, and admire their uniquely open and collaborative culture. Their history, integrity, and commitment to excellence are unrivalled in our industry. I look forward to becoming part of this phenomenal team.”
Tony Davidson, Executive Creative Director at W+K London says: "I guess I owe Bob G a pint."
