Fanny joins for European commercial and music video representation

Caviar have welcomed French filmmaker Fanny Hoetzeneder to their roster for European commercial and music video representation in Belgium, France, Holland, Spain and the UK.

Born and raised in France, Fanny moved to London in 2010 to study filmmaking. On graduation from UAL she started out as a photographer taking inspiration from her close relationship between friends and family.

Her background in photography is strongly evident throughout her film work alongside a sensitivity towards the human subject. Fanny looks beyond the obvious to portray a real and authentic side of life, presenting it all within a distinctive and arresting visual style. This is apparent throughout her commercial work for brands as diverse as Ray-Ban, Valspar and FIFA.

Another recurring theme throughout Fanny’s work is the comfort with which she works with real people and their communities, portraying their passion and strength through the lens. An example of this is her award-winning music video BloodType which captures the twilight world of illegal car meets.

Her latest emotive campaign for the Mayor of London and London Assembly FGM Stops Here, highlights how unbelievably women and girls in the UK are still suffering FGM and its lifelong consequences. This film encompasses all of the above and Fanny’s ability to capture even such a hard-hitting subject matter in such a beautifully observed manner. “Being invited to film this project was both amazing and really intense. The agency did a fantastic job in finding our role models and it was a privilege to get to know them and hear their stories.  Their personalities, outlooks and different cultures were so rich; we needed a raw honesty to give this subject the awareness it deserves. I hope this film and our women’s brave words can reach people beyond FGM affected communities and initiate a conversation to eradicate this awful practice once and for all.”

Sorcha Shepherd, managing executive producer at Caviar in London had this to say on Fanny joining Caviar: “Fanny has long been a part of our family through association, so I am over the moon that she has joined us and is now officially a member of the Caviar Clan. She has such a beautiful eye for finding human nuances and making her subjects feel comfortable to share their deepest stories and passions and we cannot wait to build her reel further.”

Fanny added: “Throughout my career the Caviar team have always been close friends and incredibly supportive. Therefore I am so happy to join their roster and create exciting projects together.”
