Caviar Signs Belgian Directing Duo Norman Bates

Norman Bates, aka Inti Calfat and Dirk Verheye, are an international directing duo based in Brussels who met at a script writing course and decided to make films together.  

Combining a documentary background with a more classical art history education, the duo have created a very organic and genuine aesthetic to their work. 

They have shot global commercial campaigns for clients including Coca Cola, European Parliament, HTC, Mazda, Mercedes, Renault, Samsonite and Uniqlo.

The duo have won various awards for their commercial and music video projects including Eurobest, Spikes Asia and The New York International Film Festival and their work has been featured in key industry press such as 1.4, AdWeek, Directors Notes, LBBOnline and Promo News.

The duo have a strong eye for detail and a borderline-neurotic commitment to tell stories.  In 2017, they shot their first fiction series called ‘Over Water’ for Belgian Networks.  The series has already picked up international distribution and they are currently developing a new fiction series and their first feature film.
