Promotes value of Mexican advertising for second running year

As last year, Casa México will open its doors to all the people attending the Cannes Lions Festival, the most important advertising and communication event in the world, which this year celebrates its 60th anniversary.


As a consequence of the historic effort made by the Mexican advertising industry as a whole, Mexico will have a very active presence in the festival this year.


On Monday June 17th, there will be an exclusive space for Casa Mexico in Cannes Connect Bar, a meeting point at the Palais, organized every year by the Cannes Lions Festival for its more than 9,000 delegates.


From Tuesday 18th thru Friday June 21st, Casa México will reopen its doors, offering to all attendees a festive place to relax, enjoy Mexican snacks and drinks and meet the key players in the Mexican advertising industry. Casa Mexico has the same strategic location as 2012, directly opposite  the Palais des Festivals (4, Croisette), with hours 11:30AM to 6:30PM.


Additionally, Casa Mexico will deliver two interesting presentations. Marta Fontcuberta Rueda, Regional Integrated Marketing Communication Manager of Coca Cola Latam, will explain how they have developed and implemented a global communication platform for the brand (Thursday 20th, at 4PM). Cesar Vacchiano, President of Grupo Consultores, will share information and key indicators of the Mexican communications industry (Monday 21st, at 4PM) and will offer the audience a special Casa Mexico close.


"All the players in the Mexican advertising industry made a very big effort to increase awareness of Mexico even more than the festival this year. With the sponsorship of Banamex, Sol, and Jose Cuervo we can expanded Casa Mexico proposal by getting  the official festival support  present in Cannes Connect Bar", said Horacio Genolet, CEO of Ogilvy Group Mexico.

This initiative of AMAP (Asociación Mexicana de Agencias de Publicidad), AMFI (Asociación Mexicana de Filmadoras) and Círculo Creativo is a great opportunity to share the Mexican values, creativity and production advantages with representatives from all around the world", said Alejandro Cardoso, CEO of Publicis Latin America and President of AMAP.


In 2012 Mexico won 18 Lions, setting an awards record at the Cannes Lions Festival. This year Mexican creativity will have a large representation at the Festival with four jurors: Josu Aragüenaga (Made) in Outdoor, Bruno Lambertini (Circus) in Promo & Activation, Ulises Valencia (Group W) in Cyber and Miguel Angel Ruiz (Ogilvy) in Film.
