Advertising media and music agency, Truant, has designed and launched a series of risqué greetings cards to support cancer charities while helping people celebrate their ‘sexy bits’ on Valentine’s Day.
The vivid cards feature boldly stylised ‘bums, vaginas, boobs, and balls’ alongside lines like: 'Every bit of me loves every bit of you' and 'You’re an arse hole. But you’re my arse hole'.
Spearheaded by Truant’s executive creative director, David Gamble, all proceeds raised will be split between Ovarian Cancer Action, Breast Cancer Now, Prostate Cancer UK and Movember.
Costing £2.50 each, the cards are now available to buy via Truant’s online shop . All Truant creatives and designers contributed to the cards, which are printed on 100% recycled paper.
The Cards Against Cancer initiative was partly inspired by the success of Truant’s charitable foodbank-themed Christmas gift wrap, which sold out in just over one day. But, as David Gamble explains, the project is also an attempt to fight for all family, friends and colleagues who suffer from cancer:
“An old friend from another ad agency died from Ovarian cancer late last year. She’s just one of several former colleagues and friends to die from cancer in recent years. After reading Mark Denton’s new book The Power of Puerility, I was inspired to follow up our Christmas wrapping paper initiative with puerile cards for Valentine’s Day based on all the sexy bits that are vulnerable to cancer. What better way to celebrate our best bits than by raising money to protect them?”
