Carat, a dentsu company, today announces the appointment of two new hires to bolster its global strategy team. Maro Mouameletzi and Bram Meuleman both join as senior strategy partners, as Carat steps up its strategic offering in readiness for another year of big societal change and strong growth within the business.
Maro has left Mindshare WW to join Carat and comes with over 20 years of diverse brand experience, working in senior strategy positions at Mindshare, PHD, IPG and Zenith with brands such as Unilever, Ferrero, Bacardi and Expedia. Bram returns to Carat and dentsu, having had six months exploring other opportunities in the industry. Previously working within the UK operation of the business at both dentsu X and Carat, he’ll now be applying his expertise and experience of brands such as Arla, Microsoft, adidas and Mondelez on a global scale.
Working as part of the Carat global strategy team and reporting into Sean Healy, Carat global chief strategy officer, they will be running point on strategy for groups of key clients, as well as working on developing the agency’s product offering and network integration.
Fiona Lloyd, global clients and brand president, Carat, says of the appointments: “As we continue to design for people within our campaigns and in everything we do at Carat, it’s critical we gather the best ideas, concepts, insights and data together and weave these into something which resonates with clients and us mere humans too. Maro and Bram are two exceptional strategists and we’re setting up our teams, our clients and our agency for even greater success this year with them on board.”
Maro comments on her new role: “I’m looking forward to joining Carat to help define and shape the ongoing mission of the strategy team for global clients and new business by developing valuable media-led experiences which start from a position of empathy.”
Bram remarks about his return to Carat and the direction of the enhanced strategy team: “Carat has always felt like home for me and it’s great to work with so many lovely and talented people who are making a real point of difference in media. In this new role, I’ll be helping clients bring some clarity to the complicated marketing landscape and help them develop a place in the world for their brands which is equally distinctive to them and right for their customers.”
