Wave of new hires underpins a year of growth

Following a host of major client wins and organic expansion throughout 2019, Camp Jefferson - one of Canada’s fastest growing creative agencies - has hired nine new 'Campers', ranging in seniority from account coordinator to vice president.

The hires are as follows: Kevin McHugh, VP of strategy; creative directors Phil Coulter and Stefan D’Aversa; Mary Macleod, art director; Patrick Gravel, writer; account coordinators Holly Mowbray and Katherin Ly; and Margo Hicks and Taylor Yates, administrative support.

“We’re beyond thrilled to have nine new creative minds join the Camp Jefferson family,” said Peter Bolt, EVP and managing partner at Camp Jefferson. “These hires truly speak to the agency’s culture - and how it’s quickly become a magnet for some of Canada’s brightest creative minds.”

In terms of senior hires, Kevin will co-lead strategy development with Ian Barr, VP and co-director of strategy - uncovering new and exciting ways to help challenger brands outthink, not outspend, competitors. Prior to joining Camp Jefferson, Kevin spent close to a decade between Cossette, Cundari and Tribal DDB.

While the creative duo of Phil Coulter and Stefan D’Aversa will bring a wealth of expertise to the shop. With successful stints at TAXI, kbs+, OgilvyOne, TribalDDB and Anomaly - where the pair have worked on notable brands, such as: CannTrust, Subway and Lexus, amongst others.

The remaining hires will add key bench strength to the agency’s operations, which have grown exponentially since its inception in 2015 - doubling in size in under four years.
