cain&abelDDB has made two new appointments to its senior team as the agency sets out its mission for 2022 and beyond.
Off the back of cain&abel’s recent success – with four new client wins under their belts – the agency has bolstered their Direct Response team to help gear up with what is shaping up to be a bumper year. The appointments are composed of one new external hire: Jay Thom as strategy director, and one internal promotion: Vikki Stewart, who becomes head of commerce strategy.
Having previously worked both client (BT) and agency side (Ogilvy One, WDMP), Stewart was hired to leverage the power of brand and complimentary DR, and address the frustration that DR is too often seen as an afterthought, or often siloed. Stewart has spent the last three years working to help grow and strengthen cain&abel’s DR offering, working across a variety of clients.
Thom, having previously worked at RAPP, Proximity London, and Publicis, will work closely with Stewart, helping lead the charge in strategically helping clients connect their brand with harder-working comms.
Keeping up with client needs and consumer digital consumption, cain&abel’s mission is to use the power of story told consistently across every touchpoint. Leveraging the power of brand and elevating hard-working DR to create dynamic comms that drive action is key to this approach. Boasting talent across strategy, creative and tech, cain&abel are well positioned to deliver on this strategy in 2022.
Claire Bowers, cain&abelDDB MD, said of the new appointments: “We’re absolutely thrilled to be welcoming Jay to cain&abel at such an exciting time, and together with Vikki’s well-deserved promotion as Head of Commerce Strategy, I couldn’t think of a better team to be leading the charge in delivering effective, strategic work for brands”.
