Full-service agency Butler, Shine, Stern and Partners (BSSP) announced today the addition of several new creatives to its team, welcoming the next wave of young, diverse talent to its bench of copywriters and art directors. Recruited from cities across the country, these up-and-comers are ready to solidify their place in the ad industry, and will be working across key accounts for BSSP, including ESPN, Blue Shield of California, Amazon, Rao’s and Noosa. The new creatives will report to BSSP’s executive creative director, Sinan Dagli.
“We are very excited by this incoming class of creatives. At BSSP we value diversity of thought, which we believe infuses and strengthens our creative work. We strive to create a space where creatives can be nurtured to grow their talents and expand their industry experience, and love being a place for young creatives to get their start,” said Sinan. “Looking forward to helping these folks push their own personal, creative boundaries, in turn creating work for our clients that does the same.”
Claire Hentzen and Lauren Byers join the team as art directors. Claire previously spent two years as an art director at Denver Ad School and has worked with brands like Veja and IKEA. Lauren previously served in the same role at TBWA\Chiat\Day working on the agency’s Nissan and Ad Council for Veterans Affairs accounts.
Cedric Thurman and Justin Cannon will be joining the team remotely, working from New York, as an art director and senior copywriter respectively. Cedric previously served as an art director at 160over90 on the Reebok and Lowe’s teams. Justin comes to BSSP from Johannes Leonardo, where he served as a copywriter for two years working with Volkswagen.
Wes Rhodes and Endia Turney join BSSP as copywriters. Wes was previously a copywriter at TBWA\Chiat\Day and has worked with brands like Public Storage, Audible, and Nissan; she was a part of the team behind Nissan’s lauded 2022 Super Bowl commercial, 'Thrill Driver.' And prior to BSSP, Endia spent several years working as a freelancer on scripts for production companies like Peacock and Paramount+, before attending Denver Ad School.
Brendan Nicholes, a recent graduate of Brigham Young University where he received a B.A. in Advertising, joins the agency as a junior copywriter.
As the ad industry grappled with talent shortages and work-life balance hurdles over the past year, BSSP embraced remote candidates, expanding their pool of talent across the country. This latest group of hires further solidifies the agency’s commitment to recruiting the best talent and nurturing new creative voices around the Bay Area and beyond.view more - Hires, Wins & BusinessDiGennaro Communications, Tue, 05 Jul 2022 16:54:49 GMT
