Bullion director Joao Retorta has recently finished this gritty new documentary in collaboration with Big Issue North. 

Commenting on his work, Joao says: "We created a four-part series of films about struggle and homelessness to go along with the release of Prose’s new single ‘Home Of The Braves’.

"In the first of this four part series we follow frontman Mike Murray. Mike experienced homelessness when he was just 17, and has been committed to helping other people in similar situations: this has clearly shaped his character, and there's a gritty kind of determination that really comes across in the music and the film.

"In collaboration with Big Issue North, we linked up with Vendors of the magazine, they all tell us a different personal story, shining a light on the individuals and raising awareness on the issues that they and many others face. 

"We travelled the North for four days with the mission to create these four films, in four different cities, with four people we had never met before. It was a truly humbling experience to be able to step inside these people’s lives and hear their stories first hand. I wanted my visual approach to replicate this and for the films to feel as honest and intimate as possible, hopefully doing justice to the people and their stories."
