‘Dogwood Blossom’ - Fionn Regan (Normal People)
The BBC adaptation of Sally Rooney’s novel tells the story of a relationship between two Irish teenagers as they transition from school to university. The show has been revered not just for the story, but also its 'perfectly curated soundtrack' (NME). Dogwood Blossom, by Ireland’s Fionn Regan, was beautifully reminiscent of the shows Irish setting, and echoed the overarching themes of love and growing up.
‘Patu Patu’ - Aquadrop (Wella)
Amidst lockdowns across the world, Wella sought to lighten the mood with a playful campaign: There is so much people will want to do when lockdowns are eased but first, hair. The #ButFirstHair campaign made use of user generated content to celebrate hair stylists, and the hairdressing industry. The bubbly, upbeat Patu Patu by Aquadrop was a great soundtrack to this campaign, telling a light-hearted lockdown story and reflecting the love people have for their hairdressers.
‘Keep on Movin’' - FIVE (Radox)
The
Radox #RhymeAndShine campaign was put together in support of Mental Health Awareness week 2020, alongside which Radox pledged to match customer donations made to Mind Charity. The uplifting spot made use of user generated content, featuring people singing along to 'Keep On Movin’' by FIVE, in the bath or shower. This track fit the message both lyrically and musically, and alongside the visuals was sure to put a smile on your face.
