FCB today announced that Bryan Kane has been appointed president of FCB Canada, effective September 3, 2019. In this newly created position, Bryan will oversee all operations for FCB Toronto, FCB Montreal and FuelContent.
With over 20 years of experience across a broad range of marketing disciplines, Bryan joins FCB from Publicis, where he had spent his entire career. Most recently, he was president of the Toronto office for the last five years and responsible for growing the agency and expanding its capabilities across the marketing mix. Bryan also built Publicis’ digital offering in Canada from the ground up as managing partner, which today has grown to a team of over 175 specialists.
“I’m thrilled to be joining the FCB Canada team,” says Bryan. “The opportunity to work with a powerhouse leadership team like this is awesome. The collective ambition to deliver truly meaningful work from everyone in the agency combined with the strategic might to fuel it, is what sets this agency apart. My priority is to help support the teams in order to continue the incredible momentum they have built over the last five years and keep the track record of creative excellence alive.”
Bryan’s executive appointment comes on the heels of a momentous past five years for FCB Canada, having transformed to one of the top agencies in the country. Under the leadership of group CEO Tyler Turnbull, the agency has seen incredible growth, attracting blue-chip new clients like Fountain Tire, BMW and The Home Depot. On the creative front, FCB Canada has been a top-performing Canadian agency at Cannes for the last three years in a row and a three-time Strategy Digital Agency of the Year winner.
“Bryan is a fearless leader who built his career growing clients and agency capabilities,” remarked Tyler. “He’s smart, energetic and passionate about brands and knows how to bring the right people together to build great teams. I have no doubts that Bryan will be invaluable to our clients and employees as we continue our momentum in 2019 and beyond.”
