Brooks Reynolds Shares Struggles with Self-doubt for New Film ‘Not Enough’

In his latest project, Brooks Reynolds collaborates with Filmsupply to bring to life 'Not Enough.' a film that dives into the imagination of a young boy whose curiosity about his fathers' career path drives the narrative. Brooks brings to life the impact that self-doubt and unrequited effort has on a person & what others see instead.

Brooks speaks more about the project: “I think, at some point, everyone has felt like they're not enough. We live in a time where we can glance into each other's lives and easily fall into the trap of comparing ourselves to someone else's accomplishment on a global scale. After connecting with the feeling of comparison, I started to write this short film. I thought of all the different qualities I wish I had more of and how regardless of what we're not, how we are still so much to those that love us."

“The writing process involved bringing those qualities to life in a visually compelling way, thinking of scenes where someone could struggle with being "Not Enough" in their aspirations. With each scene, we planned a different visual approach to create the feeling that we were in a child's mind, trying to imagine all the different jobs his dad did in the past.”
