Bravo! Awards Announces 2016 Winners

Three Global Awards were presented to three Australian agencies at last night’s annual Bravo! Awards ceremony held by The Communications Council in Sydney. 

Running parallel with the Global Awards ceremony in New York, Bravo! celebrates the world’s best healthcare advertising, recognising the outstanding talent and achievements from the Asia Pacific region. 

A total of 44 Global Awards were delivered internationally, with the Grand Global Award presented to Grey Group Singapore for DanChurchAid (DCA) - Category Television.

Agency of Year was awarded to FCB Health, and for the fifth year in a row Network of the Year went to McCann Health.

The Australian 2016 Awards Winners Included Ogilvy CommonHealth, Ward6 and Nomad & Deepend.

Client of the Year - a special Bravo! award judged by leading healthcare creative director, Phil Brown and Tony Hale, CEO of The Communications Council - was presented to  Jessica Danaher at Galderma for Mirvaso nominated by McCann Health.

A highly commended was also awarded to the team at ANZGOG, nominated by Saatchi & Saatchi Wellness for their ‘Save the Box’ campaign.

In recognising the importance of this award, CEO of The Communications Council, Tony Hale, said: “This award recognises not just the bravery of the client but the trust and confidence they have in their agency partners. This rewards the clients who say ‘yes’ many times, in the face of challenges, fears and the temptation of safety. Congratulations to the winners and their agencies, the power of a great client/agency partnership to produce breakthrough creative, cannot be underestimated.”

Hale continued: “This is an extremely important event in ensuring quality healthcare advertising from our region continues to be recognised on a global stage. Also presented at last night’s awards was the 2015 Young Global Award winner Samantha Cable from Leo Burnett Sydney.

The Global Awards receives entries from healthcare corporations, hospitals, advertising agencies, production companies and design studios that produce communications for medical, pharmaceutical and healthcare related products and services. All entries are judged by the Global Awards Grand and Executive Juries comprised of international industry experts, representing the top creative minds in the field of healthcare advertising.
