Advertising agency Brave has recently made three major hiring's with Annie Fox as creative director, Sam Topley as senior producer and Michael Kates as senior planner. This comes on the back of recent campaigns for Netflix, Xylem and P&G where the agency is going from strength to strength.

Annie Fox joins as a creative director previously at krow London overseeing all creative projects across Ferrero, DFS, Fiat and Toolstation. Her previous work includes a campaign for Unison ‘They Deserve More’ featuring Speech Debelle which addressed unfair pay for key workers. Prior to krow she worked at Digitas across Kellogg’s and GSK. In her career, Annie has also created award-winning work for brands including MINI, Britvic and Superdry during her time at Iris Worldwide.

Annie says: “It feels a really exciting time to join the growing team at Brave, helping them to continue making effective ideas that feel true to the name above the door.”

Sam Topley joins Brave as senior producer after working 10 years with various agencies such as MullenLowe, Iris and most recently Karmarama. Over his career he has produced award winning work, shooting with celebrity talent, around the world with industry leading directors for clients like Lidl, Carlsberg, Samsung, Kenco, Guide Dogs for The Blind, CBEEBIES, Just Eat, Plusnet and Philadelphia to name just a few.

Sam says: “There is a special kind of alchemy at work in Brave that's set to create something very exciting. The work that came out of the agency last year was pure craft. They have a fierce creative dept that's taking no prisoners and bold clients to match. I jumped at the opportunity to bolster the TV & Content production offering at Brave and bring these ingredients to life."

Michael Kates joins Brave as a senior planner having spent the last seven years in Canada as lead strategy on iconic brands such as Chevrolet, Nestle and Mastercard. Most recently he spent time at Theo, a bespoke WPP agency, built to service one of Canada’s largest telcos - Rogers. At Theo, he led strategy on the Wireless and B2B portfolios.

Michael says: “I’m so excited to join the Brave team in London. From the initial conversations I was drawn to the agency’s proposition of de-risking creative bravery. It nicely ties together the power of sharp strategy, and the commitment to create communications that are interesting and unconventional.”

Ash Bendelow, managing director, Brave says: “With so many exciting projects and opportunities going through the agency at the moment it is so nice to welcome some new faces and incredible talent into the Brave family. Annie is exactly the type of creative and character I know will flourish at Brave and help further bolster our rockstar female creative line-up supporting our ECD Caz. Sam brings a wealth of experience and pedigree to our production output and Michael already has hit the ground running with immediate impact that further validates how important it is to have an agency fuelled with individuals with different and diverse backgrounds. Super excited by what these guys will bring to the party.”
