Motors.co.uk, one of the UK’s leading used car search websites, has appointed Brave as its retained creative agency and MNC as its retained media agency in the UK, following a competitive pitch process. Both agencies have been selected to work together with Motors.co.uk’s incumbent PR agency, Diffusion, to work collaboratively in order to develop and implement an integrated marketing campaign for the brand.
The news follows the announcement earlier this year that Motors.co.uk’s parent company, Manheim, was to significantly invest in consumer marketing in order to make Motors.co.uk a household name amongst UK car shoppers.
The multi-million pound commitment will include a major national TV advertising campaign and has already seen a complete overhaul of the Motors.co.uk website. The brand new, high-speed website which launched in September, features enhanced listing functionality, intuitive search capability and a refreshed look and feel. The new site is also fully responsive meaning all users get an optimised experience regardless of the device they use to access the site – computer, mobile or tablet.
Andy Coulthurst, Managing Director at Motors.co.uk commented, “We recognised that we needed to take an integrated approach to our communication strategy to make the biggest impact. Brave impressed with their ideas and energy for building consumer engagement around our brand, plus MNC’s reputation has been built on delivering strong results for digital brands such as Confused.com, Trivago and Wowcher. Together with Diffusion, our consumer PR partners, this trio is the right agency mix to develop a campaign that will really drive our business forward by giving consumers what they are looking for.”
Ash Bendelow, Brave's Managing Director, commented, “In the Motors management team we saw a commitment to create a progressive brand with a clear vision and ambition – playing a role in realising that ambition greatly excites us.”
Andrew McCutcheon, MNC’s Managing Director, commented, “Motors.co.uk is the quintessential challenger brand with a truly innovative product. Motors.co.uk has huge opportunity for growth in the UK and we are delighted to be working with such an ambitious brand.”
