London-based, international creative agency Brave is expanding its team with the hire of Raj Samuel to take on the role of Director of Planning and Innovation. Brave is an independent agency that believes courage counts in making meaningful differences to clients’ businesses and consumers’ lives.
In his new role, Raj Samuel will be responsible for driving strategy across agency clients’ portfolio including: Panasonic, EAT, Ecover and the global spirits producer; Brown-Forman.
Samuel has a solid track record of creative strategic experience working across various international markets and is heavily fascinated with culture, technology, creativity and the power of brands to do good for humanity. Raj spent the last five years in the digital evolution of AMV/BBDO and has helped brands such as BT & Aviva and previously, even Cadbury, embrace trends in digital to better interact with today’s connected consumer.
Ash Bendelow, Managing Director of Brave comments: ‘We are delighted to welcome Raj into the Brave fold as our Director of Planning & Innovation.
He brings with him a fantastic blend of big and small agency experience with a real international flavour having worked in New York, Singapore and London. He has some pretty famous work in his back catalogue and was viewed as bit of a 'game changer' in his most recent role at AMV.
However it is his progressive thinking and desire for 'there’s always a better way’ that is so aligned to the Brave culture.’
Raj Samuel comments: ‘Brave ́s proposition is fantastic. They are strongly passionate about what they do and truly believe in trying new and innovative things. We quickly found we have such parallel ways of thinking and that got me genuinely excited.’
Samuel represents the second significant appointment for Brave in as many weeks with the announcement of Helen Weisinger as their new CMO.
