Brooklyn-based commercial production company Voyager welcomes Brandon Kapelow to its directing roster for his first exclusive US commercial representation.

Raised in Wyoming and now based between Los Angeles and Vancouver, Kapelow’s credits span work as a director, photographer and cinematographer. His focus is on exploring stories centered on real people and the challenges they face through their unique histories and cultures. Relying on his visualist background, he strives to create symbiosis between camera and subject, merging a sensibility for naturalism with heightened aesthetics. His home is on the road - inspired by changing landscapes and the people that inhabit them.

"Across all of his work - whether it be delicate, emotive scenes for a Talkspace campaign, playful and charming vignettes for a Google anthem, or an inspirational tone poem for Amazon - Brandon has the rare ability to balance nuanced performances with striking visual concepts,” said Voyager EP and Co-Founder, Andrew Hutcheson. "He has a real knack for marrying pace with place, delivering us right to the heart of his characters’ worlds through a distinct lens that is uniquely his own."

“It feels good to work with people who you know share your same values,” said Kapelow. “I’m deeply grateful to be joining the team at Voyager, whose work I’ve loved and followed since early in my career. We’ve already had the good fortune of collaborating on some incredible projects in the past year, and I’m very much looking forward to what’s ahead.”

Brandon’s films have screened at numerous domestic and international festivals, including the Academy and BAFTA-qualifying Los Angeles Short Film Festival, Atlanta Film Festival and Aesthetica Short Film Festival. His work has been featured in publications such as Billboard, NPR, Pitchfork, The Fader, Adweek, Complex, Noisey and Booooom. His commercial credits include work for Amazon, Google, Facebook, Verizon, Samsung, Carvana, Talkspace, Vans, Ugg, and many more.
