Brand Learning NY Celebrates 1st Birthday

Announces significant client wins and new team members

A year since it opened its first overseas office in New York, Brand Learning has built a strong US team and seen significant business growth from both existing and new clients. As a result the US office now accounts for 20% of global Brand Learning business.
 

The leading global specialist in transforming organizational marketing capabilities has won significant projects in the US from clients including Beam, Bayer, Yum!, Colgate-Palmolive, and Mozilla. These are in addition to existing core clients that include PepsiCo, Kellogg, Energizer, Novartis and Shell. The US office is experiencing significant growth and making an important contribution to the Brand Learning Group’s plans for 2013 and beyond.

 
Brand Learning has built its US team to have strong strategic and operational marketing experience as well as consultancy expertise. Its US executives have previously worked in leading corporations including Accenture, AOL, Canon, L’Oreal, Nickelodeon, Ray-Ban, Shell, Sony and Unilever.
 

The latest new recruits, David Bitran and Elena Putilina have a total of almost forty years’  blue chip client-side marketing experience between them and join to take up senior level, marketing capability VP (MCVP) roles. 
 

Elena joins from Bloomberg LP where she was global marketing director, Bloomberg Businessweek. Her previous experience includes a range of marketing roles at companies including GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare, Remy Cointreau USA, Kraft Foods Company and Procter and Gamble where she started her career in 1996, in Moscow.
 

David joins from William Grant & Sons where, from 2008, he held a variety of positions, most recently as head of marketing Latin America based in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Before this, he held marketing roles in companies including Cadbury Schweppes Americas Beverages (now known as Dr Pepper Snapple Group), Maxxium Canada, L’Oreal Canada and Unilever.
 

Commenting on the first year operating in the US market, US managing director Ana Maria Santos said: “Following our inception in 2000, we quickly established a significant number of US-based clients that we wanted to be able to service. We are attracting a lot of interest in the US market, working with leading multinational organizations and developing a high calibre team as well as building our reputation as experts in the field of organizational transformation of marketing capabilities.”

 
Mhairi McEwan, Brand Learning co-founder and CEO added: “We are delighted that after only a year in, we have built such an outstanding Brand Learning team and started to establish our credentials with new clients from across the States. Our US office has shown the huge potential for our international expansion and we plan to follow it up with a Singapore based Asia Regional office in the coming year.”
 

The Brand Learning Group Ltd achieved 16% revenue growth in 2012 following five years of double digit growth and in its last financial year, profitable revenue of $25 million. In the last year alone it has also secured 21 new clients including AbbVie, Beam, Colgate-Palmolive, Efes and Electrolux.
