Boys+Girls took home one Gold and one Silver award, both in Radio & Audio for the ‘Hey Daddy!’ radio ad for Swim Ireland

Based in New York, the prestigious London International Awards (LIAs), has revealed its 2021 winners from across 25 media and 53 countries. Boys+Girls are the only Irish agency to be awarded and one of three agencies globally to win in Radio. They took home one Gold and one Silver award, both in Radio & Audio for the ‘Hey Daddy!’ radio ad for Swim Ireland.

  • Gold - Public Service/NGO/Charities for Swim Ireland titled “Daddy! Daddy! Look at me!”
  • Silver - Direction for Swim Ireland titled “Daddy! Daddy! Look at me!”

LIA, which was created for creatives, awarded 16 Grand LIAs, 148 Gold, 332 Silver and 467 Bronze winners. The high calibre judges from across the planet judged virtually over several weeks; each juror viewed and scored every entry within their medium before meeting together in virtual judging rooms to ensure all work was judged equally through careful deliberations and robust discussions. Barbara Levy, President of LIA, said: “Both statues won in Radio & Audio. It is such an achievement to win when you have the best radio people in the world judging the work. So only the best will be awarded Gold. Congratulations to Boys+Girls!”

Speaking about the win, Rory Hamilton, chief creative officer at Boys+Girls said: “The LIAs are hugely respected international awards so we’re over the moon to win both a Gold & a Silver for our Swim Ireland work. It’s a really simple but important message delivered in a way that forces the listener to not only pay attention but to feel something which shows the power of great radio.”
