ŠKODA Global set a competition this year, inviting all their agencies from 31 world-wide markets to create a Christmas image for the brand to share.
The brief from was simple; create an image that would make people feel Christmas joy whenever they encounter it, something to raise a smile after a tough year and in celebration of the upcoming Festive Season.
Award-winning Boys + Girls, Ireland’s largest independently owned branded entertainment agency, won the global competition with the re-imagining of a common international sight that brings a smile to our faces.
Rory Hamilton, founder and ECD, Boys and Girls explains: “We felt that when it comes to cars, nothing says 'joy' like a dog sticking its head out of a car window. It's an iconic visual associated with the sheer pleasure of car journeys. So, we decided to take that image and update it for Christmas - with a reindeer.
"Yes, having a reindeer in the backseat emphasises the spaciousness of a ŠKODA or perhaps suggests that a ŠKODA is a more comfortable, smoother vehicle than Santa's Sleigh. But really, who doesn't want to see a reindeer with its head out a car window?”
The image will appear on social and traditional platforms in all ŠKODA global markets including across 5 continents over the month of December.
