Boldspace Bolsters Growing Team With Four New Hires

Brand strategy and communications agency Boldspace has announced four additional hires across client services, digital, PR, and design.

The appointments include Dan Jenkins as head of client services, who was formerly managing partner at Arnold Worldwide. Dan, who has also held roles with global agencies including M&C Saatchi and Ogilvy, joins the senior management team and will oversee the agency’s client service operations.

Chelsea Konadu bolsters the Boldspace PR team, joining as a consultant from global hotel giant, Hilton, where she spent four years across both corporate and consumer activity; Greg McCann joins as a digital consultant from digital marketing agency Ledger Bennett and will lead on SEO; and Aurelie Virely joins as the agency’s first full-time graphic designer to provide general design capability for the agency’s fast-growing client base.

Mike Robb, co-founder and managing director at Boldspace, said: “These hires add significant experience to our team and are a vital part of building an offering that can deliver truly agile communications, with the capability to deliver across all parts of the marketing communications mix. Very few agencies of our size and stage have hired such a diverse team and set of skills, which I hope tells a story about our ambition and how we are seeking to do things differently.”

Commenting on his appointment at Boldspace, Dan Jenkins said: “Boldspace is a truly unique and exciting new agency model, one that I am thrilled to join. The agile, integrated Boldspace approach to developing marketing solutions through a blend of data and creativity is something challenger brands are crying out for. I’m excited to help lead the way in providing this to clients and being part of this dynamic new agency.”

Commenting on her appointment, Chelsea Konadu said“Having worked in a large, global, business I have seen first-hand the challenges of both true integration across channels and the difficulty in accessing and interpreting data to drive truly impactful campaigns. This is why Boldspace jumped out to me and I am hugely excited about what this model can deliver for the exciting, ambitious, clients we are working with.”

The appointments take the Boldspace team to 17 and builds on a strong first half-year for the agency, which now has 16 clients across multiple sectors including technology, healthcare, financial services, ecommerce, and energy. The agency launched its proprietary data and analytics platform, BoldLens, in September, and has already been nominated for five awards for its work with healthtech business Onko and NHS-focused charity the Healthcare Workers’ Foundation.
