BMG Production Music (BMGPM) has announced its partnership with Ah2 Music, creators of original music for film and television founded by renowned composers Jeff Lippencott and Mark T. Williams. The deal includes a worldwide, ex-US, publishing administration agreement, global representation of the Ah2 Filtered Music production music catalogue, and the addition of Lippencott, Williams, and the Ah2 team to the BMG Bespoke in-house composer offering.
Since founding Los Angeles-based Ah2 Music in 2003, Lippencott and Williams have established a reputation as one of the most well-respected and sought-after composing teams in the entertainment industry as a result of their high-profile work and deep relationships with TV producers and networks. Ah2 boasts music across some 22,000 episodes of television, including some of the best-known global franchises and hit shows.
The duo also created the Ah2 Filtered Music production music catalogue in 2013. With constant additions of new content melded with unprecedented insight from years of working with the top music and screen executives across Hollywood, the multi-genre catalogue consists of some 6,500 unique compositions, encompassing 42,000 total recordings. The Ah2 Filtered Music compositions have been meticulously crafted to be editor-friendly and can easily be tailored to any multimedia need.
Lippencott and Williams have garnered numerous industry accolades including 53 ASCAP Film, TV and Screen Music Awards including 10 years of each receiving the prestigious Most Performed Themes and Underscore Award, and for hit shows such as American Idol (FOX/ABC), Shark Tank (ABC) and MasterChef (FOX). Additionally, Ah2 received seven BMI Television music awards and two Primetime Emmy nominations for Outstanding Original Main Title Theme Music for Kid Nation (CBS), and Mark Burnett and Steven Spielberg’s On The Lot (FOX).

In the last few years, BMG has grown its production music business exponentially with a number of key senior hires and innovative deals, including partnering with ITV Studios, the Hidden Hit Maker’s lockdown Sample Challenge, teaming up with educational organization Expand Music on access-to-industry initiatives and won in seven categories at the Production Music Association’s Mark Awards.
