BMG Production Music (BMGPM) - the world’s fastest-growing production music company, servicing the film, broadcast, games and advertising industries - has announced the hire of Deb Oh to senior director of creative licensing. The move is part of the expansion of its East Coast sales operation and in particular the strengthening of its advertising and sync division to serve its global clients.
Building on her extensive experience working on music production and supervision with studios, agencies and big brands, Deb is tasked with leading the charge in advertising with production music for the East Coast, as well as launching the custom advertising department. Based in New York, she reports to BMGPM US sales team lead, Amberly Crouse-Knox.
In the last few years, BMG has grown its production music division exponentially with a number of key senior hires and innovative deals, including: acquiring Deep East Music and Dynamic Music, partnering with ITV Studios, Bonne Pioche Music, Wibbitz and Red Bull, and the launch of an in-house creative agency.
Deb commented: “The scale of creative collaboration across BMGPM’s global studios is inspiring. Joining this dynamic team during an exciting period of growth and being surrounded by innovative creatives and teammates, who value and encourage all of the voices at the table, is empowering. I look forward to working alongside them to build new infrastructures and opportunities in advertising and beyond.”
Scott Doran, SVP global creative licensing at BMGPM, added: “As we continue the commitment to bolstering our US business and providing world-class services to our global media clients, the introduction of Deb as an impressive creative talent and proven commercial business expert in this area enables us to confidently grow and improve our offering. As she leads our custom and production music service for advertising clients in New York, we look forward to sharing the first-class work from this department with audiences around the world.”
