Rodney Pink is 70. He has a pet cemetery in his back garden. His wife has recently vanished.
RODNEY is the latest in a series of short films from writer-director Fred Rowson, all set in the wilderness of London suburbia.
Rodney is a man in his 70s with a love of pets, so much so that he has built a cemetery for them in his back garden, which is very popular with the local community. Suspicions, however, begin to arise when Rodney’s wife disappears.
The film is inspired by Fred’s own childhood in South London which, at the time, was filled with crumbling, half-inhabited Victorian mansions and overgrown gardens. It marks Fred’s continuing mission to combine the bizarre and banal characters of the London suburbs with the mystery, romance and humour of genre cinema.
