Bizarre Sprite Idents Appreciate Good Old Fashioned Refreshment
Bumpers created by Plantage and directed by Greg Bray take an ‘if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’ approach to cooling off
A quirky set of idents for Sprite compare and contrast two different approaches to refreshment. In each snappy comedic film one character finds strange and extreme ways to cool off while his friend looks on bemused, instead drinking a cold bottle of Sprite to refresh himself.
Shot on minimalist domestic-style sets with backdrops in the fizzy drink brand’s iconic colours, each scene features the same two friends. Each film ends with the line ‘Don’t Reinvent Refreshment’, suggesting that you don’t need to find new and inventive ways to cool off - a cold Sprite is still as refreshing as ever.
The humorous short films were conceived by Berlin agency Plantage and directed by Greg Bray through the production company Rabbicorn.
