Music services agency, Big Sync Music, has won Best Sync (online/viral/ambient advertising) in the 2017 Music + Sound Awards for the Christmas spot ‘School Bus’, created by adam&eveDDB & Tribal Worldwide London and directed by Mark Albiston of The Sweet Shop.
The emotionally charged online film, music supervised by Big Sync Music, tells the story of an unlikely friendship as a lonely young boy and his school bus driver look out for each other. The film, a reminder of the awkwardness many of us can relate to from our tween years, is set to a calm, timeless acoustic soundtrack,'Love Is All' by The Tallest Man on Earth which adds to the feeling of warmth the spot evokes.
Dominic Caisley, CEO, Big Sync Music said: “We’re delighted to win a MASA in this category for a second year - it’s a beautifully crafted film that everybody, including the critics, has been moved by. The quirky track was unanimously favoured by all involved creatively and we’d like to congratulate adam&eveDDB and The Sweet Shop with whom it was a pleasure to collaborate.”
The film has already picked up four D&AD awards this year including a wood D&AD Pencil for ‘Use of Music for Film Advertising’ plus a UK Creative Circle award - also for ‘Best Use of Music’ in the Film Craft category.
