Unilever partner and specialist global music agency, Big Sync Music, has hired film and advertising music supervisor, Meredith O’Leary, to join its growing team, working out of the company’s New York office.
O’Leary brings extensive experience and knowledge in music and advertising having previously worked for Moondog where she led music supervision, music strategy, and original music projects for clients such as Victoria's Secret, PepsiCo, Neutrogena, Giorgio Armani and Michael Kors. She was also the lead music supervisor for last year’s indie feature film, ‘A Rising Tide’, which premiered at the Seattle Film Festival.
O’Leary began her career at Magus Entertainment, assisting clients such as Duran Duran, Echo & The Bunnymen, and Diane Birch. Classically trained in musical theatre and voice, she studied as a lyric soprano with Juilliard professor Robert White for many years and also attended the Vianden International Music Festival and School in Luxembourg.
Big Sync, was this week nominated for a CLIO Music award in the Commercials/Promos category for Lipton T.O. ‘The Revolution in Tea’ and last month won an International Music & Sound Award for Magnum ‘Be True to Your Pleasure’. As well as working with global brands from Samsung to UNICEF, last year the company announced a global partnership with Unilever, making it the single supplier of music across all 400 plus brands in all territories covering music strategy, licensing, creative music search and amplification. Big Sync, which also has offices in London, Amsterdam and Singapore, now has over 1,000 projects under its belt including other award winning campaigns from Persil to Samsung.
