Big Spaceship Strengthens Leadership & Agency Offering with New Hire & Promotion

Laura Breines joins as First VP, Director of Client Services whilst Duncan Snowden is promoted to VP, Strategy

Big Spaceship has announced two new senior appointments meant to continue strengthening the agency’s client service and strategy teams. This comes of the heels of significant growth for the shop and the addition of several new executive roles over the last year.

Appointments include Laura Breines, who joins the agency as Vice President, Director of Client Services and Duncan Snowden, who has been promoted to VP, Strategy. Snowden has served as Group Strategy Director at Big Spaceship for nearly three years.


“As members of our leadership team, Laura and Duncan will help us provide even more client value,” said Rob Thorsen, Big Spaceship’s Managing Director. “Duncan is a strategic powerhouse who has thrived here during his tenure and driven impactful results for each of the accounts he’s worked on. And Laura’s chops in client service will no doubt strengthen our ability to service our clients as we look to grow even more in the coming years.


Starting immediately, Breines will report to Thorsen and will be responsible for a portfolio of business at the agency, as well as for the growth and development of the client services discipline.

“Coming over to Big Spaceship felt like a natural next move for me. I was really attracted to the agency’s size, diverse approach and strong point of view on how they want to grow,” said Breines.


She joins Big Spaceship by way of HUGE, where she worked for over four and a half years and most recently held the titles of VP, Marketing and Group Engagement Director. Over the course of her career, Breines also served as an Account Director at AKQA and before that she worked at Arnold Worldwide.

As for Snowden, over the course of his tenure at Big Spaceship, he has primarily worked as the head of strategy on the Samsung Mobile global team and helped to guide strategy for several other clients and new business projects. With this promotion, his role will evolve to also include more responsibility for advancing the strategy discipline at Big Spaceship.

An industry veteran with over a decade of experience in branding and communications strategy, Snowden previously served as Partner, Communications Planning Director at Mediacom working on the shop’s Volkswagen account. Prior to that he held the title of Associate Director at Mediacom’s London office working on strategic media planning for some of the United Kingdom’s most well known brands including Volkswagen, Greene King Beers, Thomson Holidays and First Choice Holidays, among others.
