Black Dog director James Copeman invites a group of ordinary people to bust a move to the UK’s most Shazam-ed track with the video for Ben Pearce’s “What I Might Do.” The promo unfolds like a casting call with no real criteria except to feel the music, resulting in a fast and colorful display of regular people of all shapes, sizes and dancing abilities unashamedly grooving against the set’s mint green backdrop.
The spirited visual is a people-watcher’s dream; as we get to see these stranger’s colorful personalities emerge with their movements, which range from pirouetting to voguing to popping-and-locking. Copeman’s visuals celebrate the track’s synth lines and body-moving beats, and leave the viewer smiling and laughing, and more than likely, dancing along in their chair.
