In a year in which social distance and curfews became a norm, we witnessed the importance of human connections even when the circumstances drove us apart.
Created by Famous Grey and directed by Salsa through Czar Belgium, this heart-warming Proximus campaign show us the joy and excitement of connection during these dark winter times (and year). A lit screen lightening up a heart. One by one. Showing us that during this holiday season we should be connected like never before.
With a honest and gentle approach, the film portrays different people isolated at home having their spirits lifted by the human interactions sparked by the lights of their devices. It reminds us that we are not alone, that ultimately, we are all connected and living through the same situation. This spot also touches upon the importance of reaching out. And how even a simple message or a couple of Emojis can brighten one’s day.
The Belgian telecom Proximus, in collaboration with Silk, invites Belgians to bring a little warmth and light to the people they love, to light up the end of the year together. They can do-so by visiting www.illuminonsensemble.be to send virtual fireworks and warm wishes. And since the official New Year’s Eve fireworks are cancelled, firework projections around the country are also part of the campaign.
“Despite its light and shadow play, this is a film about human connections, with empathy at its core. We wanted the acting to feel authentic and real. Subtle, but truthful, without any over dramatisation or over excitement. Our main focus in this film was setting the right tone” says the directing-duo Salsa."
