BeeLiked, the social media marketing platform, maximising audience engagement with campaigns and competitions, is today announcing its launch in the Chrome Web Store. To celebrate its launch, BeeLiked is offering for a limited period, a free 60-day trial of its platform.
BeeLiked will now become widely available as it comes out of private beta, following successful campaigns for Virgin Media and National Geographic Traveller (UK). BeeLiked is also about to launch a new Twitter competition for the Curious Hotels Group’s Green & Spring brand in association with Mr & Mrs Smith.
The new social media marketing platform has been built specifically to help businesses to maximise audience engagement of their campaigns and competitions, as well as to manage and promote them via one single easy interface – the BeeLiked social dashboard.
BeeLiked enables companies to create engaging Twitter competitions, launching a contest within minutes, managing and moderating entries with minimal hassle, and then picking winners fairly and fast.
The BeeLiked platform helps brands to run a range of competition types including ‘RT to Win’, ‘Follower Milestone’, a ‘#Hashtag Lucky Tweet’ as well as ‘Polls’ and ‘Photo competitions’. The free trial offer gives businesses the opportunity to try out the platform and run their own competitions.
Virgin Media recently used BeeLiked for the 2012
Virgin Media Shorts Competition, which celebrates unknown and up & coming filmmakers. In particular, by using the BeeLiked system, the Peoples Choice Award was for the first time selected by a combined socially popular vote. This meant that tweets of the video URL, the Re-Tweets, as well as the Facebook Likes, were all collated into votes. The Lucky13 competition had over 10,000 entries on Twitter alone and proved to be a huge success.
BeeLiked captured and stored all tweets, while allowing moderation and management around the competition start and end dates to ensure the competition was both compliant and trust-worthy.
Damien King, co-founder of BeeLiked and head of the Brisbane office, explains: “This is the first time that the Virgin Media Shorts contest was opened up to be judged by popular vote. Previously, the winners were selected by a panel of experts. The response was phenomenal and spread virally, resulting in greatly increased awareness of the Virgin Media Shorts competition.”
BeeLiked was appointed by Absolute Publishing to set up and run the photo competition for National Geographic Traveller (UK), launched 19 September, based on their expertise in delivering high volume photo and multimedia competitions, as well as their ability to develop custom features, e.g. all entries have to be approved by a moderator before being published to the Flickr stream and the website. The competition has received over 2,500 entries in the first week alone.
Maria Pieri, Editorial Director of National Geographic Traveller (UK), says: “We are delighted by the response our photo competition is receiving and the quality of the photos entered. The system enables us to have complete control over which photos are published to our Flickr stream and into our competition microsite”.
Damian Dutton, co-founder of BeeLiked, heading up the London office, adds: “To engage fans and followers, we have found that the best method is through the use of fun, interactive and innovative contests which raise awareness of a brand and push customers to its website. BeeLiked currently offers businesses and brands a range of Twitter competition tools to engage and boost their followers. More competition types and social networks will be added shortly.”
BeeLiked is headquartered in London, with a newly opened office in Brisbane, Australia, headed up by co-founder and CTO Damien King, previously Head of Development at Virgin Media.
