VCCP London encourages everyone to ‘live life with more mojo’ this year

J2O adds some glitter to this Christmas as it jazzes up the festivities with its beatboxing alpaca, Mojo. On a mission to make Christmas sparkle and cut through the noise, J2O has brought entertainment to the fore with its new festive campaign ‘Bring the Sparkle this Christmas’. 

The eye catching campaign celebrates the wonderful value of informality at Christmas and harnesses the uplifting simplicity of relaxed fun with friends. As part of its aim to bring some joyful content to the nation, J2O wants to encourage everyone to ‘live life with more mojo’ this year, by tapping into the festive spirit of togetherness as it celebrates the casual festivity of fun with friends.

The playful film opens with the classic Christmas carol, ‘Silent Night’ and Mojo is greeted with a selection of J2O bottles. After seeing the drinks, Mojo decides to scratch the formalities and ‘add some glitter’ with J2O Glitterberry, turning instead to a spirited disco dance accompanied by bold, fun expressions to create some wonderful festive entertainment. The humorous film celebrates the uplifting effect of the festivities, showing viewers how much joy lies in the simplicity of celebrating with friends. 

‘Bring the Sparkle this Christmas’ speaks to a 25-35 year old audience and aims to reposition the brand as the go-to soft drink for this demographic. This unique campaign defies customary soft-drink conventions and celebrates how particularly for this audience, authentic enjoyment goes beyond the traditional formalities and rather lies in the intimacy of relaxed fun with friends.

Lauren Maddocks, brand manager at J2O said: “We know J2O consumers love our cheeky alpaca, Mojo and we’re delighted to have him fronting this year’s Christmas campaign. We’re encouraging the nation to ‘Live life with more mojo’ and understand that the joy of Christmas lies in the simplicity of celebrating with friends and family, with J2O adding that touch of festive sparkle”.

Mark Orbine, creative director at VCCP London added: “Forget Bing Crosby at the piano, what you need is a beat boxing upbeat alpaca busting out some tunes around the xmas tree. This is just what we needed this xmas, a little bit of glittery fun. It's all about dropping all that formality, letting your fur down and having some fun with your friends and family”.

The 20-second film goes live today and will run for the festive period across UK social channels. J2O worked with UK agency of record VCCP London to mastermind the new campaign and worked with production studio Flipbook to bring the film to life.
