ClearScore has launched a brand-new brand platform to bring UK consumers greater certainty in their credit choices. The positioning, ‘ClearScore sure’, aims to encourage consumers to feel more confident in their financial decisions after research found that 27% of UK consumers said their finances are worse now than pre-Covid-19.
This builds on the brand’s trusted position as the UK’s #1 free credit scoring app and marketplace and marks its first major campaign since securing $200 million in investment in June 2021.
The fully integrated, multi-million-pound campaign – developed in partnership with creative agency Creature and brand consultants Glow - includes a new brand advert which shows a ClearScore user tackling everyday challenges with certainty. She buys the hot tub of her dreams, nails the toughest move in bowling, races down the road in a homemade go-kart and slays a unicorn piñata blindfolded. The campaign will play out over 40 & 30 second brand spots, 30 & 10 second DRTV, paid social and display.
Development of the platform and campaign started from the insight that consumers deserve certainty in their finances but aren’t always clear on how to achieve it. Speaking of the campaign Stu Outhwaite-Noel, CCO and founder of Creature, comments: “When we couldn’t help but throw a ‘ClearScore’ before every ‘sure’, we knew our modern financial superhero should do the same: an invincible heroine armed with her ClearScore app who can just as easily make something trend on TikTok as she can deftly control the fall of thousands of dominoes. Getting to imagine all the ways it’s possible to be ClearScore Sure is as glorious as it sounds.”
All of this supports ClearScore’s objectives to drive awareness of their marketplace as well as their free credit score and report proposition over the coming years, solidifying their position as the go-to place to manage and access credit.

Along with the platform and campaign, ClearScore launched its latest market-first innovation, offering pre-approved users credit cards and loans with guaranteed interest rates and guaranteed credit limits.
