On Friday 21st June, BBDO Indonesia hosted its fourth ‘Heels of Steel’ event with Arsika “Chika” Ahmad, NS BlueScope ASEAN’s VP regional pricing and insight, as the main speaker.
During her visit to the BBDO Indonesia office, Arsika shared her work experience in Indonesia and ASEAN countries spanning over 20 years. This includes several roles as a marketer, consumer insight researcher, pricing manager for several brands in F&B, as well as experience working in the construction and architectural industry. Arsika’s passion for marketing has always excited and driven her to give the best in all her roles. This includes working with the most important stakeholders in business - the consumer - as well as coming up with proven marketing strategies, rooted in consumer insights, that give clarity to brand portfolios and innovation choices across markets.

The last 20 years of my career have been an amazing experience of creating opportunities, building doors and unlocking them to uncover my true potential. ‘Heels of Steel’ was first launched in 2017 in Malaysia; events aimed to inspire and accelerate the progress of female employees in the workplace. Since then, it has grown into a Southeast Asia initiative. Participating offices now include Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam and the Philippines. It is BBDO’s ambition to empower, motivate and strengthen our people.

The ‘Heels of Steel’ event at the Indonesia office launched with P&G Singapore’s associate director, Daphne Kuah, in June 2018 as the first speaker. Followed by the second event with keynote speaker, Diageo Indonesia’s head of brands, Adrienne Gamie, in August 2018, while the third event was held early April 2019 with Fonterra Brands Indonesia’s marketing director, Rohini Behl.
