BBDO Germany launches CraftWork

BBDO Germany launches CraftWork, the new independent production division for the entire BBDO Germany group, headed by Steffen Gentis BBDO Germany’s new Chief Production Officer.

 

With the bold maxim: “Crafting vision into reality” BBDO Germany launched its new production division CraftWork, on the 1st of May with Headquarters in Düsseldorf. CraftWork builds on the extensive production experience of the TV Department at BBDO Proximity, expanding to serve all the agencies within the BBDO Germany Group. 

 

CraftWork responds to the needs of a growing and rapidly changing dynamic film and digital market. CraftWork brings massive production experience and creative competence, increasing efficiency and effectiveness and activating synergies across the BBDO Network in all areas of production. BBDO clients will benefit from benchmark execution and compliancy across all agencies, media and regions, while profiting from a central workflow and asset management with individual local access.

 

Steffen Gentis (52), was BBDO’s Head of TV in Düsseldorf since 2004, heads CraftWork and advances to Chief Production Officer for the BBDO Germany group, reporting directly to Chief Executive Officer Frank Lotze and Chief Creative Officer Wolfgang Schneider. 

 

Gentis, ADC-member; initiator of the internationally renown  “Regielounge” (Directors Lounge); and the first international leader on sustainable production in advertising, is confident about the challenge: “CraftWork is primarily about adding value to production – leaving no stone unturned in telling the story in the best possible way. CraftWork is also about benchmark efficiency, leading the way in production across all advertising channels, and securing the work in the most effective and sustainable manner.”

CraftWork will first consolidate production in the BBDO Network in Germany, to then expand its offer to other BBDO offices throughout Europe from 2014 onwards.
