BBDO Dublin announced today that Ed Leamy is set to join the Sandymount based agency as the new head of innovation. In a ‘local boy done good’ story, he replaces Enda Conway who is headed to BBDO New York in a senior strategic role.
Speaking about the latest appointment, BBDO Dublin CEO, Neal Davies said: “We are delighted to welcome Ed to the BBDO team. He has a stellar track record: his experience at getting innovative creative ideas over the line is unrivalled and we have lots of plans for him!”

Currently the creative technologist at Folk Wunderman Thompson, where Ed has been for the last four years, he brings a wealth of experience and will continue to ensure that innovation within the discipline is a critical input as well as an output. He won a Cannes Lion in 2019 for his work on An Post.

He will work across the portfolio of BBDO clients which has seen not only numerous new client wins but the retention of brands as well as an expanding body of work with current clients including Tourism Northern Ireland, Lidl, Diageo, The GAA, RSA, EBS, VW, Eirgrid, and IDA Ireland.
