Local news helps connect us to where we live, an idea that is celebrated in the new BBC Local Journalism campaign by RKCR/Y&R.  

The campaign reminds audiences via a compelling manifesto and intimately shot visuals about the significance and variety of local events that shape their worlds; events that make them feel closer to their local area.

The campaign features across TV, radio and digital.  In the spirit of being truly local, bespoke edits featuring regional content will air across each of the twelve BBC English news regions.         

The campaign manifesto is voiced by actress Joanna Scanlan with the music courtesy of Ludovico Einaudi’s Primavera.
