Battle of the Fakeaways! Currys PC World Launches Live Tech Battle Show 

Today, Currys PC World launches ShopLive Events, starting with a live tech battle at 6pm, putting TV personality, Oliver Proudlock and his wife, model and influencer Emma Louise Connolly against each other to find the best cook in the relationship.

Hosted in the Currys ShopLive Kitchen, this extra special pilot broadcast will put the foodie-loving husband and wife duo against each other as they battle it out to create their own healthy version of a takeaway classic in just 20 minutes and using only the NINJA Foodi Health Grill & Air Fryer.

From spices to sauces, slaws to salad-toppings, the pair will be walking viewers through their ultimate fake-away chicken burger recipe, showcasing just how easy it is to recreate healthy versions of your favourite take-out dishes at-home, with the help of simple and affordable tech.

After whipping up a storm in the kitchen, the duo will then deliver their ultimate dish to a Currys PC World host, who will taste the final product and declare a winner - and perhaps most importantly, who is the best cook.

Throughout the broadcast, Currys PC World will also be offering on-demand product guidance and tech advice to viewers, allowing them to receive personalised expert intel from the comfort of home. Questions on the NINJA Foodi Health Grill & Air Fryer, alongside any other broader questions on healthy food tech can be submitted during the 20-minute session via the Currys PC World website. 

All viewers will also be in with a chance of winning their very own NINJA Foodi Health Grill & Air Fryer and can also expect to receive exclusive special offers to use online at Currys PC World.

The live tech battle comes as the consumption of takeaways over lockdown has surged, with many turning to delivery services for easy lunches and dinners that are often unhealthy and can end up being expensive when bought regularly. As a result, Currys PC World want to showcase how at-home tech can help you create delicious, healthy and affordable meals that will rival your favourite takeaway dishes.
