Advertising agency barrettSF has hired William de Ryk as account director. He will work on the Walmart and WWE 2K accounts as well as new business.
“barrettSF offers a unique opportunity for everyone. As long as you bring your passion and your smarts, you’ll succeed,” de Ryk noted. “I couldn’t be more excited to work under Patrick Kelly and Jamie Barrett to help tell great stories for brands and contribute to this culture of incredibly talented and genuinely good people.”
de Ryk comes from agency Pereira & O’Dell, after a nearly four-year tenure, where he was the account director on the global Coca-Cola Christmas campaign. Other accounts included Wish, Sage and non-profit work with the Ad Council. During his time there, he was a key contributor on the Microsoft/Skype business along with Qdoba and the Cheesecake Factory. He also spent a year at Goodby Silverstein & Partners exploring a new tone of voice in the digital landscape for national client Sonic Drive-In.
de Ryk began his advertising career at Venables Bell & Partners in 2010 working on the Audi of America account and touching all facets of the business.
“We didn't have anyone named William on staff, much less a de Ryk, so this was sort of a no-brainer,” barrettSF Founder/Managing Director Patrick Kelly quipped. “It also doesn’t hurt that he is driven, smart and a change agent. We feel like we got a good one.”
