DDB Chicago and director/editor Barney Miller of Whitehouse Post pick up where they left off last year with the first spot for this year's Supercuts Rock the Cut campaign, "Jake Miller," starring the up-and-coming young pop/rapper of the same name.
Produced by Cap Gun Collective, the concept behind the campaign is to capture a young star just as they start to make it big in the music business. And Jake is doing just that, with his song "Girl I'm Coming Home," featured in the spot, already a staple on Sirius Satellite's Hits One station.
"I really wanted to capture a documentary feel," remarks Miller. "I shot Jake in different environments: the recording studio, behind-the-scenes at one of his concerts, signing autographs, interacting with his fans, and getting his hair cut at Supercuts."
