Barkley Promotes Jason Parks to Chief Growth Officer
Kansas City-based agency Barkley has expanded its leadership team with the promotion of Barkley veteran executive Jason Parks to chief growth officer. In his new role, Parks is now responsible for all aspects of the Barkley brand, including marketing and content development. Additionally, he is responsible the company's growth through new lead agency client relationships, plus the agency's rapidly expanding project and consulting work.

Parks formerly served as EVP managing director of Barkley, which included new business responsibilities. He led Barkley in new business through its winning streak over the past 6 months, including Planet Fitness, Winnebago, Haribo, and Valent.

"I've known Jason a long time, and he was born for this job. He is a brilliant marketer and a natural at building strong relationships. But his most valuable trait may be his intense competitive drive. Whether you work at Barkley, or you're a client of Barkley, you want him on your team because you know he's going to help you win," says Jeff King, CEO at Barkley.

Parks has been at Barkley for eight years. During that time he’s helped develop profitable relationships with clients including Hershey, Dairy Queen, Planet Fitness, ESPN, Krispy Kreme, Rawlings, Marmot, Britax, Coleman, Nestle Purina Pet Care, Missouri Lottery and Ball Fresh Preserving.

“The brands that connect best with modern consumers are the ones who focus on their entire brand, from their internal culture to design to communications,” says Parks. “That’s what excites me most about this role — building whole brands that modern consumers crave.”

Parks was honoured by Ingram’s as one of Kansas City’s 40 under 40 most influential business leaders. Prior to joining Barkley, Jason was the EVP/idea director and partner at Adamson in St. Louis.
