Bailey Lauerman’s agency positioning was on display at the Digiday Agency Summit in South Carolina as CEO Greg Andersen examined the importance of the industry not overlooking what BL calls ‘The Everything In Between.’

“Middle America has been overgeneralised, underrepresented and underappreciated for a really long time,” he said. “If we continue to think in that way, and look at what happened in November 2016, do those things at your own peril.”

In Andersen’s talk on the mainstage at the Digiday Summit, he discussed a multitude of topics important to the industry, including misconceptions about the In Between, growth of businesses and startups in the region, and why marketers cannot and should not generalise the people and places which make up 92 percent of America outside of its 10 major cities.

“Our job is to understand America and to bring all of these dimensions of that understanding together on behalf of our clients. That’s what they’re paying us for — how to take advantage of 92 percent of America so their brands and businesses can scale.”
