As the world continues to adapt to its 'new normal' and video-chat social gatherings, there’s no better time for experimentation and exploration – especially when it comes to a delicious cocktail.
That’s why with the help of ad agency BBDO New York, BACARDÍ Rum is challenging all at-home bartenders – and even some celebrities— to join the #BacardiMojitoRemix Contest, an Instagram competition that calls on consumers to put their own spin on the signature mojito recipe! Keeping the key ingredients of the iconic drink consistent – BACARDÍ Rum, lime, and club soda – the mojito remix leaves it up to budding mixologists to infuse this classic cocktail with their creative spin.
From now until 18th May, rum drinkers will be able to share their reimagined mojito recipes and cocktail photos with BACARDÍ using the hashtag #BacardiMojitoRemix and be entered into the contest. Whether it’s the use of an exotic hard-to-find ingredient or an unexpectedly beautiful garnish, BACARDÍ Global Rum Master, David Cid will be on the hunt to find the top eight finalists from across the nation and their remixed mojito recipes.
Once the eight finalists are selected, consumers will have the chance to vote for their favourite mojito recipe on the Instagram
channel from 25th – 27th May. The winning Mojito Remix and the at-home mixologist behind the recipe will receive an exclusive virtual BACARDÍ rum happy hour DJ’d by MICK
