Acclaimed dramedy currently features 100% positive reviews on RottenTomatoes.com

The leaders of international creative company Cutters Studios are very proud to join their fellow filmmakers in celebrating the release of their independent dramedy feature 'before/during/after' on Amazon Prime throughout North America. Facilitated by Gravitas Ventures, a Red Arrow Studios company, the distribution gives over 100 million Amazon Prime subscribers free access to the film, effective immediately.

Written and produced by Finnerty Steeves ('Orange is the New Black') who also leads the brilliant ensemble cast, and co-directed by Stephen Kunken and Jack Lewars, 'before/during/after' is a co-production of Marsha's Daughter Productions, Indie City Films and Cutters Studios. Katie Hyde (who starred in and produced Lewars' debut feature, "Mount Joy") produced in tandem with Steeves, with Elena Berger, Jamie Zelermyer, and Elizabeth Krajewski as executive producers.

Joining Steeves on-screen in the lead roles are Jeremy Davidson ('Royal Pains'), John Pankow ('Mad About You'), Kristine Sutherland ('Buffy the Vampire Slayer'), John Ellison Conlee ('Boardwalk Empire'), Susan Blackwell ('After the Wedding'), and Richard Masur ('Transparent'). The stellar cast also includes Michael Emerson ('Evil'), Marin Hinkle ('The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel'), Miriam Shor ('Younger'), Kate Burton ('Grey's Anatomy'), Austin Pendleton ('Finding Dory'), and Deborah Rush ('Strangers with Candy').

"before/during/after" is the story of Jennie Lonergan (Steeves), a middle-aged NYC theatre actress, who is forced to redefine herself when she catches her husband of 15 years (Davidson) having an affair. Anchored in a single day in Jennie's life, the non-linear story edited by Scott Gibney and Peter Zachwieja of Cutters creatively interweaves past with present to spectacular effect. Also part of Cutters Studios, titles and visual effects are courtesy of Flavor, while post-audio was led by Another Country's Supervising Sound Editor and Re-Recording Mixer Erik Widmark.

Since debuting last year at the Greenpoint Film Festival and winning Best of Fest honors, the film's highly successful festival tour also brought home the Industry Choice Award at Dances With Films, the Best Ensemble Cast Award at San Diego International Film Festival, and the Programmers Choice Award at the Naples International Film Festival. Atop these impressive accolades, Steeves was recently presented with the RiverRun International Film Festival's prestigious 2021 Emerging Master Award.

For viewers' consideration, the film's current reviews on highly trusted film and television review site Rotten Tomatoes are 100 percent positive.

Praised by Gravitas executives for achieving great emotional depth with the multi-timeline story technique, resulting in a story that is both personal and widely recognizable, the film's reviews echo these sentiments. In the words of, A League of Their Own reviewer Nicole Ackman, the film is "a standout amongst other relationship movies."

"We have so many people to thank for supporting our film," Steeves began. "Their support and word of mouth has absolutely helped us get to this point, and we are incredibly grateful."

Steeves continued, "This opportunity with Amazon Prime is incredibly important for us as our distribution dreams expand. We hope everyone will watch the film, if possible, provide a rating, and otherwise recommend the film using social media, if they like what they see."

The filmmakers also have high hopes for reaching audiences beyond North America beginning in the not-too-distant future. To stay informed about all the new developments, please visit here, and follow "before/during/after" on social media.
