AT&T Launches the Shortest Podcast Ever

Ever hit play on a podcast only to realise that it’s over three hours long? Even with content getting shorter and shorter these days, the average podcast episode is still 40 minutes long, while the most popular podcast (The Joe Rogan Experience) has episodes that require a 2hr 38min commitment… 

That’s why AT&T Fiber created Straightforward, a new podcast series inspired by their simple, Straightforward Pricing. To host the show, it tapped JB Smoove, best known for his witty, no-nonsense characters like his role as Leon in HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm, to make complex questions super simple.  

Want to know why the Kakadu plums aren’t as popular as oranges? Or curious about how to avoid mosquitoes? Unlike other podcasts, this show gives you straightforward answers in ~30 seconds.

Not only are AT&T launching what is probably the shortest podcast you’ve ever heard, but to promote the series, its are also running 'ads' on traditional podcasts, which are really just its 30-second episodes – creating the first-ever podcast within a podcast.
