Independent creative agency Atomic London has revamped its senior leadership team, hiring Katy Sumption, former founding partner of The Elephant Room, as executive creative director. As well as promoting Louise Rudaizky, previously head of client services, to the new role of managing director.

Katy, who previously worked agency side at Iris and as creative director at Exposure, was co-founder of The Elephant Room. She has also worked client side at Dyson. Katy will join current ECD, Dave Henderson, to run the agency’s creative department and continue to drive the Never Quiet principles forward for clients. Louise, who has previously worked at JWT and M&C Saatchi for the best part of a decade, before leaving the industry to set up her own tech start up, joined Atomic in 2019 as head of client services and now takes on the role of managing director, to help drive and develop the agency’s growing client list.

Both Katy and Louise will report to Atomic’s CEO, Jon Goulding, and are joined by Dave Henderson, ECD; Steve Hopkins, strategy partner; and Jack Williams, head of new business.

According to Jon, the addition of Katy and Louise in their new roles will help put the agencies exciting growth plans in full flow: “It’s an exciting time for Atomic, our proposition of brand and activation working as one has never been more relevant for brands looking to win. With digital ad spend taking a growing proportion of total ad spend, and brands recognising the importance of creating idea that works across the entire customer journey, Louise is already a great talent for us who will be even more instrumental now in helping put our unique agency structure to work for clients.”

“The addition of the hugely impressive Katy will only further cement our ability to offer creative height as well as breadth of capability. She has a drive to make creative work that helps brands connect with their audiences in a more relevant and engaging way and her approach to doing that is special.”

Katy was voted once of Campaign’s top 30 female leaders of tomorrow and the Dot’s 100 trailblazers.
