Leo Burnett/Arc Worldwide announced the hire of April Carlisle as Senior Vice President, Director of Strategy for its Global Shopper Marketing Practice. Carlisle will oversee shopper and customer marketing initiatives for various clients within the agency, including Allstate, Fifth Third Bank, Firestone, Kellogg’s, McDonald’s, Sprint and Samsung, among others.
Carlisle joins Leo Burnett/Arc Worldwide from P&G, where she served as Leader of Shopper Marketing for the company’s Centre of Excellence. During her tenure at P&G, she led strategy across customer teams to include plans for key product initiatives, multi-brand and cause-related commercial initiatives. She also oversaw joint shopper marketing business programs across North America with key digital and mobile partners, including Google, Facebook and Microsoft.
With more than 20 years of experience leading traditional sales management and shopper marketing organisations, Carlisle has managed the creation and development of best practices for shopper marketers in the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico, as well as on-boarding, training and ongoing development of global programs.
In 2011 and 2012, April was recognised on Shopper Marketing Magazine’s "Who's Who in Shopper Marketing" lists. In addition, she is a faculty member for the Path to Purchase Institute and an adjunct professor for Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism IMC “Shopper Marketing” course.
