Agency doubles-down on partnerships with new appointment and further bolsters communications strategy

Following on the heels of the recent appointment of Chris Neff, global head of emerging experience and technology, and the launch of its media studio in New York, Anomaly is continuing to invest in talent focused on delivering even more innovative and effective engagement strategies for clients.

Given Anomaly’s unique proposition - with no bias to any channel or marketing solution - partnership strategy and execution is embedded in the DNA of the company. Transformational partnerships have been a critical force at the heart of its offering for clients, with breakthrough solutions including Johnnie Walker & Mr Porter, Budweiser & Sky Sports, Mini & Paul Smith, and Rexona & Gen Z global pop sensations Now United.

The new role will ensure the agency can extend the full service offering to the breadth of its clients, covering - partnership strategy, creative expertise, entrepreneurial partner negotiation and management, production, and execution.

Camilla Harrisson, partner and CEO, Anomaly London said: “Partnerships have been critical to the Anomaly model since launch and are central to how we think about solving brand challenges, maximising impact, and unlocking audiences. Max has been at the forefront of our work in partnerships and has an exceptional and proven mix of cultural and commercial expertise in this area that will accelerate growth for our clients.”

Max Ward was previously comms strategy director at Anomaly, and formerly head of platforms at Gravity Road and director at Drum OMG.

Max Ward, head of partnerships, Anomaly London said: “Partnerships are hugely powerful and massively underutilised. And as the landscape continues to evolve, the potential of what they can achieve is evolving. Done right, they can achieve pretty much anything - build a brand into culture, create lucrative new revenue streams, and even enhance the core product offering. I’m excited to unlock their full value for even more of our clients.”

Anomaly has recently further expanded its London based communication strategy team, hiring Tim Whately, former head of strategic planning at Goodstuff Communications and Caitlin Pinner, previously Go-To-Market Manager at Twitch.
