Andy Red's Student Viral Wins At Mobius

Los Angeles-based Recommended Media director Andreas Roth (a.k.a. Andy Red) has been honoured with a 2011 “Best in Show” Mobius Award in New Media for the horrifying :90 “The Exorcist” for Dirt Devil. This marks the eighth win amongst the 11 nominations in international advertising shows for the virally popular spot.  This includes honours from the prestigious Saatchi & Saatchi New Director Showcase in Cannes. 

 

Shot as a student film project, Roth directed the mock ad and ‘The Exorcist’ has received global advertising industry recognition.  The clever Dirt Devil film has taken in almost 30 million hits on YouTube, Vimeo and other online video hubs, making it the world’s fifth most popular online film of 2011.
